About

Meet

Hi, I’m Kate MacDonald, Registered Psychologist.I specialize in helping high-achieving women untangle from anxiety, burnout, high functioning depression and perfectionism so they can stop running on fumes and start showing up for their actual lives.I bring a calm presence, a strategic mindset, a deep respect for your story, and I always come to session ready to work alongside you. I’m known for listening closely, remembering the details, and helping people make connections they hadn’t seen before.  Clients often tell me they feel calmer just by showing up. I’m not fazed by big emotions, whether you’re holding back tears or firing off F-bombs, I’m here for it. Sessions together include actionable tools from CBT, ACT, and EMDR to help you actually change and grow. You’ll walk away from each session with something tangible to try, reflect on, or reframe—so your progress keeps happening, even between sessions.

Testimonials
Clients are saying...

"Honestly I wasn't sure a psychologist was for me - felt too clinical. Kate is the opposite of that. She's direct, a little funny, completely unshockable, and incredibly good at her job. I leave every session with something concrete. My anxiety is the quietest it's been in years." - G.N., Alberta Client

More About

Q&A

A book, quote, or idea I often return to is…
Reality Slap by Russ Harris is one of my favourite books for something simple but lots of deep reflection moments.
Outside of therapy, you’ll often find me…
Riding my bike at nearby parks, curled up reading a book, or spending time with my cats and foster kittens.
My favorite way to recharge is…
Taking the day slow and easy, whether that is puttering around the house, exploring parks and trails, or having a cozy day reading while cuddling my cats.
