Hi, I’m Kate. While I’m a relative newcomer to the field of mental health counselling, I’m no stranger to helping others walk through their trauma while processing their experiences. In addition to my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counselling, I have extensive experience in working with trauma survivors from my time counselling survivors of sexual assault and abuse at a community rape crisis center, and my own background has provided quite the education on religious and childhood trauma. While my primary area of concentration is clients working through complex trauma, I also enjoy working with clients who are facing anxiety and depression which can make functioning in everyday life even more challenging. So whether you’ve got a documented trauma history or you are looking for someone to listen and sit with you in the healing journey–come on in, take a seat on the couch, and let’s take a calming breath before we get started.

"Kate has a way of making even the hardest conversations feel manageable. I came in with a lot of anxiety around opening up and she made the whole process feel safe from the very first session." - F.S., Nova Scotia Client
